Capacity Building
Program Leaders
The program started off with a kick-off session, designed with an introductory focus. During this session, nine program leaders representing nine community centers were equipped with essential knowledge and skills. The training covered methods on how to apply for different types of funding, such as fundraising funds, cultural funds and microbudgets. Additionally, participants engaged in a workshop addressing effective communication with youngsters and developing impactful leadership skills within their communities.
November saw the implementation of a targeted project management training session for program leaders, with participation from six community centers over a two-day period. This training was extended beyond the Bario Unico program to include other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) such as YMCA, Fundacion Centro di Famia Sabana Basora, and F.D.A. Juan Pablo Duarte.
A primary objective of the Bario Unico project is to empower community center staff by enhancing their skills and knowledge, improving work methodologies, fostering a sense of security in their roles, and enabling them to provide enhanced support to volunteers and partners.
