Centro Famia Piedra Plat
HISTORY
Mr. Adriaan (Adri) Berg was raised in the Piedra Plat neighborhood. He held a deep concern for the welfare of families in his community. Taking the initiative, he collaborated with fellow residents and members of the Piedra Plat Church to establish the foundation.
OUR GOAL
To establish a community center serving the neighborhoods of Paradera, Piedra Plat, and the surrounding areas, grounded in Christian norms and values. Our aim is to bolster the family as the cornerstone of our community, fostering growth in social, physical, spiritual, educational, cultural, and personal dimensions for individuals of all ages.
THE HISTORIC HOUSE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD
(MORE THAN 100 YEARS OLD)
In 2010, the historically significant Piedra Plat 50 house, situated on a 1200 m2 property, became available for sale. The opportunity to purchase the house through a lease-purchase option transformed this aspiration into reality. Renovations commenced promptly, with the invaluable assistance of family, the Piedra Plat Church, neighbors, and friends. This property holds sentimental value as it is the house where Adri grew up.
Within a year, the house underwent a comprehensive renovation, and a sports court was added. Additionally, three trailers were incorporated to provide extra space.
CREATIVE EDUCATIONAL CENTER
CEC's mission is to support the academic development of youths. Our program has been developed in close collaboration with educational and social professionals.
We provide a comprehensive program tailored for elementary school children and high school youths encountering challenges in their academic journey, assisting them in overcoming obstacles and successfully achieving their educational goals.
CAS DI MUSICA - HOUSE OF MUSIC
Since February 2018, the C.F.P.P foundation has established a House of Music, functioning as a music school. Our primary objective is to offer music lessons to individuals of all ages. We welcome students ranging from 6 years old to 60+.

Who we are.
The primary objective of our foundation is to value, support, build, and promote the social, physical, educational, and cultural well-being of children, youths, and adults.
Our foundation extends its focus beyond children and youth to include the entire family unit. We recognize the distinct needs of parents and grandparents, and as such, provide essential support to each member, aiming to enhance the family dynamic and foster a positive home environment.
Our Events
Throughout the year, we organize various
activities aligned with our national celebrations, such as the Birthday of
Betico and King’s Day. However, the one we emphasize the most is our
celebration of The National Anthem and Flag of Aruba Day, celebrated annually
on March 18th.
On this day, we provide:
• Local foods available for purchase • Flea Market • Family-friendly games • Folkloric and international dance performances • Pony riding for kids • Dance competitions • and much more.
